Plantar warts are caused by direct exposure to HPV in the epidermis. This occurs through breaks in the stratum corneum of the epidermis. Plantar warts are found on the soles of the feet and, like common warts are caused by a virus. They are also addictive - and just to get by walking barefoot on the shared shower or health club locker rooms. These warts appear on the sole of the foot as a small bumpy growths marked dark spots (small capillaries that supply blood to the nipple). Plantar warts treatment depends on the size, location and number of warts, as well as the activities of the infected person. Warts can be very difficult to cure, often multiple treatments are needed, and even then the success of treatment can not be guaranteed
